Abstract
In reply to your request for information concerning our elasmosaur.
The specimen that was found here is about 70% complete. Unfortunately the skull was severely eroded and the upper part was not recovered. Dr. Betsy Nicholls of the Royal Tyrell Museum of Paleontology in Drumheller Alberta was reluctant to assign a species name to the specimen. This specimen was the first one found west of the Canadian Rockies. Two partial specimens have also recently been found in the local area. Hopefully we will find another specimen and be able to assign it a name.
