Abstract
Field work conducted by the Natural History Museum of the University of Kansas in 1991 recovered 38 gastroliths in association with the incomplete and disarticulated remains of a large plesiosaur (KUVP 129744). The specimen was found in the upper Sharon Spings Member (Late Cretaceous) of the Pierre Shale, Logan County, Kansas. The gastroliths are unusally large in size when compared to those documented from other plesiosaur remans, and larger than those associated with the giant sauropod, Seismosaurus. This specimen provides new data in regard to the occurrence and sizes of gastroliths in these extinct marine reptiles
