First Impressions
The specimen on display from the first time in Somerset County Museum in Taunton. At this time it had been rinsed thoroughly to get rid of any salts, and a light coating of Butvar, a conservation grade adhesive and varnish applied to consolidate the area around the bones

The specimen on temporary display in Somerset County Museum, Taunton. At this stage the only preparation has been to wash the specimen thoroughly to remove any traces of salt and to apply a thin coat of consolidant to the areas of shale covering the bone.
